Dementia Action Week

We’ve had another busy few days this week with Peter and Rusty coming to sing for us on Tuesday. They were brilliant!

We also did some art work for #DementiaActionWeek with the forget me not flower. We all wrote how we don’t want dementia to stop our daily lives and what we would love to tell our loved ones even when sometimes we can’t.

To finish off a lovely week we had Terry Bond singing for us yesterday afternoon which was loved by all residents!

A trip to Arlington Court

We have recently been on a trip to Arlington court. We had a great time viewing the main house and the carriage museum as well as walking around the grounds and gardens.

On Monday we were lucky enough to stop off at Barum gate restaurant for lunch which was also lovely. Was so nice to make the most of the sunshine.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!

We had such a lovely day celebrating love with Swimbridge House Nursing Home.

We did so much during the day. We gave and received cards and red roses! We placed rose petals on our dinner tables to set the mood! We had a lovely glass of wine or a beer with our roast at lunch and had an afternoon of chocolate, strawberries and raspberries.

In the afternoon we did some colouring and word searches while listening to our wedding songs and reminisced about what we used to do on Valentines day.

We hope everyone had a lovely Valentines Day too
