Summer Round-Up at Swimbridge Care Home

August has been a wonderful month at Swimbridge Care Home! From celebrating Afternoon Tea Week to recognising the importance of perseverance on Never Give Up Day, there has been lots to smile about!

🫖 Afternoon Tea Week – A Week of Treats and

During the week of 10th August, our residents joined in the celebrations for Afternoon Tea Week, enjoying a lovely afternoon filled with delicious food, cups of tea and, most importantly, good company.

Residents embraced the occasion by dressing up, enjoying some delicious afternoon tea treats and listening to music together. There was a wonderful atmosphere as everyone chatted, laughed and enjoyed spending quality time with one another.

Afternoon tea was the perfect excuse to slow down, enjoy a little indulgence and celebrate the simple pleasures of being together. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and it was lovely to see so many smiles around the table!

💪 Never Give Up Day – Celebrating Resilience

On 18th August, we celebrated Never Give Up Day, a day dedicated to perseverance, resilience and reminding ourselves that challenges can be overcome one step at a time.

We know just how important encouragement and positivity are for both our residents and our teams. We make time to celebrate achievements, however big or small, encourage one another when things are challenging and create an environment where everyone feels supported.

For our residents, this might mean encouraging someone to try an activity they haven’t done before, supporting them to reach a personal goal or simply reminding them of all the things they have achieved throughout their lives. For our team members, we boost morale by celebrating successes, recognising hard work and making sure everyone feels valued and appreciated.

Never Give Up Day was a lovely reminder that a little encouragement can go a long way. Together, we can celebrate progress, support one another and keep moving forward.

🌻 Making Memories Together

Summer has been another lovely time of making memories, whether enjoying afternoon tea with friends, dressing up and listening to music, sharing stories or simply spending time together, it is these everyday moments that make life at our homes so special.

As we look towards the end of summer, we are looking forward to creating even more happy memories with our residents, families and wonderful teams.
