I found everyone very helpful and caring. It was a difficult month with mother deteriorating. The support was great couldn’t fault anyone, much improvement on when mother was first admitted.

Swimbridge House Nursing Home provided everything my husband needed during his 8 month stay there. The care that all the staff gave him was second to none; his room was lovely and the food excellent.
The entertainment lady did all she could to simulate the residents with activities, ranging from gardening, to card making and even dancing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Swimbridge house as it’s one of, if not the best in North Devon.

Dad’s care at Swimbridge House was second to none. He was always treated with warmth empathy and commitment. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he built up a wonderful relationship with his carers. Their friendliness and professionalism extended from the residents to family and we were always greeted warmly when visiting and kept informed of all aspects of care and treatment.

1 week respite. When I first met the manager, I did not look any further for another care home, What an amazing lovely lady. All the staff were caring, loved their jobs and looked after my mum as I would have. You can’t get better than that. It was very clean, food was good with good choice, mum did not want to leave and can’t wait to return.

Debbie J (Daughter of Resident) on Wednesday 4 November 2015.

Our father is in the final stages of lung cancer, and a the age of 91 has moved to Swimbridge House from his own home. His care by all the staff has been amazing. He has a beautiful room and all has been done to keep him safe, well fed and happy. He continues to wish to smoke and although we completely understand he must not do this inside the home, when we are unable to meet our twice a day visit to enable him to go outside for a smoke, a staff member has taken him instead, fulfilling our dad’s wishes. We could not wish for a friendlier, professional care for our dad. This care home is wonderful.
